Now that I am finally settled in I can begin documenting everything that I’ve done in my first week of living in Milan. After 6 days of being here I just hung up my clothes… I blame it on the fact that being a privileged American I assumed I could buy hangers just about anywhere, however that was not the case. Everything here is falling into place and I love this city even more than I expected to. It is filled with charm and character, but at the same time is big enough to supply me with new adventures everyday. I live in Piazza della Repubblica, which is a 5-minute subway ride to the Duomo, right outside of the center of the city. My apartment is beautiful and I am living with 5 other lovely girls from different universities in the US and Italy. I am adjusting nicely to the Italian way of life and trying to blend in the best I can by living like a local. All has gone smoothly except my slight culture shock when I first saw the elevator in my building. It looks like it is straight out of a 1940’s movie and even includes a bench inside, which is more useful than you would think. I am missing all of my friends and family but am happy that I can share all of my experiences with you through this website. Don’t miss me too much! I’ve never been happier and am so glad that I can call Milano my new home.

Wow-so beautiful-!!! You and the city!-You’re an amazing young women and so charming and eloquent in your description-I wish you the stars-and it seems you are already grabbing them-have a wonderful time!!All my heart!❤️😘
