Bernese Alps, Switzerland 9744 ft

Pictures do not do Switzerland a justice! We traveled to Interlaken by a four-hour train ride (and four connecting trains…) through the countryside of Italy and the mountains of Switzerland. We started our stay in Interlaken by going to a small chocolate factory that is known for selling overpriced, but creative and handmade candies to young tourists like myself. I stocked up on chocolate gifts for all of my family and I think it was worth every penny! I also went to the famous Lake Brienz which is known for its ice blue water. I went to the lake at sunset and the water was so clear that I could see my reflection perfectly. The highlight of my trip was going to the highest peak in Switzerland called Schilthorn in the Bernese Alps. At the top of Schilthorn is where the James Bond movie was filmed, and it was beyond incredible. The mountains looked like they went on forever and even the air felt different because it was so fresh. We had brunch in a rotating room so we were able to soak up all aspects of the beautiful mountains surrounding us and enjoy glasses of prosecco at the same time😀. I can honestly say that it was one of the best days of my life and a really incredible experience.
