The Luck of the Irish – Dublin, Ireland

I can officially say that St. Patrick’s Day of 2018 will probably be the best one of my life. This past weekend I celebrated St. Patrick’s Day in Dublin, Ireland. Knowing that I would be spending a lot of the holiday hopping around town with my friends, I decided to travel to the Cliffs of Moher. I sat for a total of 8 hours on the bus to spend a whopping 2 hours at the cliffs. The trip was well worth the view. The cliffs continued for miles and the water was crystal blue. It began to rain and when it stopped there was a rainbow directly over the horizon. It was picture perfect and I am so happy that I sacrificed part of the day to see the cliffs. On Saturday I woke up and was out on the Streets of Dublin all dressed and ready by 10 am. The streets were packed with people from all over the globe dressed in green from head to toe. I was able to meet up with some of my best friends from school celebrate the Irish way. When I finally left the crowded bar I had been in all day snow was sticking to the streets and coming down on the brightly lit up street. No I did not find my pot of gold, and I am still disappointed about it. However, I was pretty lucky because my flight home was one of the only ones not canceled due to the snow. I don’t think I could have chosen a better weekend to visit Dublin, this St. Patrick’s day is surely reining in #1.
