Sorry to my family for keeping you guys waiting a few weeks before posting some new blogs. I’ve been busy and letting them pile up really has made keeping up week to week difficult. A few weekends ago I took a trip to Lagos, Portugal with around 25 of my friends from Penn State. We rented a beautiful house on the outskirts of the town that was large enough to fit 16 of us. Lagos is home to one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen! The water is crystal clear and there are many rocks surrounding the ocean that have been carved by the wind. Portugal is a beautiful country but it was very interesting to see the difference in lifestyles compared to where I have been living. Portugal as a country is noticeably in a poor economic state. The house we rented was amazing and cost a fraction of what I have spent on other small and run down airbnb’s. Despite it’s economic state, the country is stunningly beautiful. My friends and I did a boat tour around the coast where I was able to see many different local spots and learn a little bit about Lagos. Unlike every other trip I have gone on this semester, this trip to Portugal was extremely relaxing. I spent most of my time with my friends on the beach enjoying the sun (think of anything better). I highly recommend Lagos to anyone who is considering taking a trip there. Not only did I enjoy a nice weekend on the beach but even better company! 🙂
Amazingly beautiful and serene!
